CAPE VERDE PORTS CONTINUE TO RECOVER BREAKS

Cape Verde’s ports continue to recover the losses caused by the pandemic and recorded, in july, an increase of 13,6% compared to the previous month and an increase of 9,9% when compared to the same month of the year 2020. It should also be added that in july the ports of Cape Verde handled 586 ship calls.

The movement of goods increased 7,2% compared to june, to 219,480 tons, and grew 34,11% compared to july 2020. These numbers come when there are news that indicate that the movement of passengers also soared mainly after the restrictions on capacity of the ships have been lifted in august.
